BRAVO to all of our performers at the Christmas Recital! We had a great turn-out of 77 performers in total. If you are interested in participating in any of the upcoming events at Amabile, more details and updates will be included in the email newsletters.
The first recital of this year will take place on Sunday, January 24th from 4:00-5:00pm via Zoom. Currently, we have two groups available for sign-ups. The hosts are Ms. Isabelle & Dr. Ethan. You can now sign up by logging into your online account with us or click here! First-come, first-served. The last day to sign up is 1/17.
We are excited to introduce the MASTER CLASS SERIES of Amabile School of Music. If you are a serious music student and would like to receive critiques, valuable feedback, and advanced training from our amazing coaches on your technique, artistry, and stage presence, there will free opportunities for our enrolled students starting February. We will announce more details for sign-up in the next newsletter.
How Do The Master Classes Work?
The student performer will first play through the piece of their choice based on the class topic from the beginning to the end. It is possible that the coach will interrupt you at mid-point so time can be evenly distributed for feedback and critique. Memorization is encouraged but not required at this time. All ages are welcome.
The coach will provide feedback on all aspects of the performance including posture, technique, musicianship, artistry, performance practice, and more.
One important thing to keep in mind is that we are here to learn and to improve. Come with an openness to listen, to hear different ideas presented as there are various ways of playing the same piece which can be inspiring even if it's different from what your teacher has taught you. Always try first before rejecting an idea.
